The Alberni Classical Concerts Committee was established in 2016 with the goal of establishing an annual classical concert series in Port Alberni. In 2017, the committee became the Alberni Classical Concerts Society and now presents four concerts per season. The sole purpose of the Society is to promote live performances showcasing professional Canadian musicians. Please refer to the Past Seasons tab on this website for past concert information.
The main source of funding for the concerts is the sale of annual subscriptions, which are sold in advance at a cost of $125. Subscriptions are transferable to friends and family if a subscriber is unable to attend. A series subscription model provides a guarantee the Society will have sufficient funds in advance to ensure proper funding for all four performances.
